Spinach Artichoke Dip with Garlic Bread

I was recently at the coffee shop getting some work done on the new MacBook I got this past Christmas, and lo and behold.

The unthinkable horror of horrors happened; my hot cup of coffee tipped over and spilled onto my keyboard.

Thankfully, it wasn’t a crazy amount of liquid that escaped from the cup, as my cup was mostly empty thanks to my love of coffee, but still… time and space froze in a moment of wide-eyed fear. Cue Bionic Woman slow motion special effects while desperately grabbing for napkins.

Now is also when I’m super grateful that I take my coffee black, rather than any kind of sweet sticky java. See, I knew that element would come in handy one day.

I eventually recovered [partial] composure and not only drank a second cup of un-creamed brew, but went on to polish off three chewy bagels. Not a typo, I regularly nosh on 3 bagels before 3pm. I’m also just addicted to bagels and breads and dips and spreads.

Gimme some Spinach Artichoke Dip to smear over all the breads, please…

Thank you. I have been craving artichokes. and I had spinach. This was soooo easy. I wanted a cold made dip not a hot dip. I used jalapeno garlic powder, a bit of onion powder like i think 1/8tsp. If I used a fresh onion I don’t think I would of added it. I also used fresh spinach. Cooked it down just half way. It is sooooo good.

I like your presentation of recipes and As I put together some of my go to’s, for my two single daughters, who now live together…I was struck how we both write about food and life the same, but different way. Cooking isn’t everyone favorite Sport…But I enjoy it. That being said I want my Girls to enjoy food as something more than just putting food on the table. The following is my little blurb for the, “Here’s the How To…” of my recipes for them…Simple dishes can quickly become the center piece of your table with the proper presentation. Just like the name of this dish has been seen a dozen times…The fact that it is semi curser, and colored makes it seem special. So does the Bowl that presents this offering…It say’s I’m special, any spoon can serve a meal…But the Spoon left in for someone to use and serve themselves lets them know they’re invited and welcomed. So always remember when prepping and serving…put a little more of yourself in…{LL&P}…The Bowl you used made me think of that……
