Mix this Easy Pear Sangria up the night before any gathering for a simple, crisp, and refreshingly delicious drink - no fuss, so you can enjoy your guests!
In a serving pitcher, add Riesling, pear juice, Cointreau, and ground ginger (if using.) Stir well to incorporate.
Cover and chill 2-4 hours, up to overnight. Add a few pieces of pear and orange to the pitcher 1 hour before serving; continue to keep chilled.
When ready to serve, give it a good stir. Slowly add ginger ale. Fill individual glasses with some ice, pour Sangria into glasses, and serve with remaining pears and oranges.
Notes
We love the sweet, mild flavor of Riesling for this recipe, but feel free to use a dry white wine if you prefer.
The fruit for this recipe can be sliced the night before. To prevent the pears from oxidizing, we always sprinkle on some fresh lemon juice and store them airtight in the fridge.
Triple Sec, Grand Marnier, or other orange-based liquor can be used in place of Cointreau.
